Lawrence J. Kales, DPM

As founder of both the Bayonet Point Location and the Spring Hill Location, Dr. Kales leads a talented staff of doctors, certified podiatry assistants, and support staff. Dr. Kales believes that every patient deserves friendly doctors and staff who listen and care about your feet and ankles. Dr. Kales completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then took his talents to the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1977. He completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Kales’s devotion to his practice has not gone unnoticed by other professionals in his field. He has been named a Diplomat of both the American Board of Ambulatory Foot Surgery and the International College of Podiatric Laser Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Podiatrists. Additionally, Dr. Kales is Board Certified in Ambulatory Foot Surgery.

Though he devotes most of his time to the practice, Dr. Kales remains academically successful. He continually improves his medical skills and always researches the latest technology for the advancement of Podiatry. Dr. Kales is proud to say that he has been continually practicing podiatry in Florida since 1979. Dr. Kales is on staff at Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point, Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, and Bayonet Point Endoscopy and Surgical Center.

 

 

Alexis Kreplick, DPM

Dr. Alexis Kreplick graduated from the University of Florida summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. She received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, FL. While there, she served as the president of the student body. After earning her degree, Dr. Kreplick completed a three-year residency at West Houston Medical Center and served as Chief Resident during her last year.

Training during residency provided her with extensive experience in both clinical and surgical aspects of podiatric care. Dr. Kreplick enjoys providing conservative non-surgical care to patients. She also performs elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery ranging from management of bunions and hammertoes to ankle stabilizations, tendon repairs and correction of traumatic deformities.

Throughout her education, Dr. Kreplick has been devoted to advancing the podiatric profession. Asides from her various leadership roles, she has published journal articles during residency and has presented new research at state conferences. Dr. Kreplick strives to stay up to date on the latest treatment modalities to best assist her patients.

Dr. Kreplick is excited to return to Florida and serve the Pasco and Hernando communities. She considers herself a native of the area, as she was raised in Wesley Chapel.

 

 

What is a Podiatrist? 

A podiatrist is a doctor that specializes in conditions of the foot and ankle. It is though several years of experience and education, that a doctor will officially be name a certified podiatrist. More specifically, the doctor is required to finish a four year undergraduate degree and receive four years education from a college of podiatric medicine. After all of this training and education is completed the doctor is officially named a podiatrist.

Dr. Lawrence Kales completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then took his education further by attending Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine.

Now with over 30 years of experience, Podiatrist Lawrence Kales is known for his outstanding customer service and treatments for bunions, diabetic foot care, hammertoes, heel pain, ambulatory foot surgery and all other foot and ankle conditions. He is also recognized as a diplomat of the American Board of Ambulatory Foot Surgery. Currently, Podiatrist Lawrence Kales owns two offices located in Hudson and Spring Hill Florida. It is through these offices and his affiliated hospitals that he serves the greater West Pasco and West Hernando counties of Florida.

Podiatrists are recognized by the federal government as physicians in most states. By the end of their education they are able to specialize in foot surgery, sports medicine, bio mechanics, orthopedics and primary care.
